I wrote Liquid Gold because exclusive pumping is one of the most powerful, demanding, and misunderstood forms of feeding a baby — and too many mums walk that road without the support they deserve.
I wrote it because I remember what it felt like to sit in the dark at 3am, listening to the hum of the pump, wondering if I was doing any of it “right.” I remember the spreadsheets, the washing, the guilt, the pressure, the hope. I remember feeling proud and exhausted at the same time.
And I remember how isolating it felt to be doing something so hard, so constant, and so invisible.
No one hands you a guide for exclusive pumping. No one prepares you for the mental load. No one tells you that you’re allowed to feel overwhelmed and still be an incredible mum.
So I wrote the book I needed. The book I wish someone had placed in my hands on day one. A book that says: “You’re not alone. You’re doing something extraordinary. And here’s how to make it feel lighter.”
